The Invitation

We are getting married, and we would love you to be there to celebrate with us over the weekend of 19th-20th June 2027 in sunny France. The ceremony will be on 19th June, followed by food, fun and festivities. 20th June will be a bbq and pool party to cure the sore heads and to keep the party going.

The venue is a 13th century chateau just outside Carcassonne, surrounded by vineyards and rolling hills. Come for both days if you can, as the 20th June will be as much fun (if not more so) than the 19th June ;)

The Venue

Chateau de Villarlong is a 13th century chateau and vineyard estate tucked into the hills of the Aude, 20 minutes outside the medieval city of Carcassonne. We can't wait to party the weekend away with our favourite people at the chateau.

Where to Stay

The chateau has a small number of rooms on-site, which we will offer to immediate family and the bridal party.

There are lots of accommodation options nearby, with neighbouring hotels, air bnbs and chateaus offering a perfect sanctuary to set up base for the weekend. We will provide details of accommodation ideas in the "more info" section closer soon. We will also share information on timings.

Getting There

BY AIR

Carcassonne airport is 20 minutes drive from the chateau, Toulouse and Bezier are both just over an hour, or Barcelona is 3 hours by car if you fancy a stop.

BY TRAIN

Direct TGV from Paris Gare de Lyon to Carcassonne in around 5 hours. From Barcelona, roughly 3 hours on the train.

BY CAR

The venue is 20 minutes from the A61 autoroute. Parking is on-site and free. If you are driving from Provence, count on 3 and a half hours, or from London we suggest driving down the day before.
